Sandra Breene

Member Appointed Trustee, Vice Chair

I have been a Trustee Director since 2017 and prior to that was a Parent and then Community Governor at Hook School for many years. My two children both attended Hook Primary, although that was some years ago now, as my youngest is heading off to University this September and my daughter is starting her Master’s Degree. However whilst they may have moved on it was the early school years that provided them with their love of learning and why I have enjoyed being involved both with Hook and in more recent times with the wider Edukos Trust.

I have a degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Business Education and have worked for Croda, a Speciality Chemicals company for the last 31 years. I am particularly passionate about encouraging young people into science and helping them see the breadth of careers and exciting roles that studying STEM subjects can open up for them.

On the Trustee Board I am Vice Chair, I try to use my business background and experience to support the development of the Edukos strategy as well as share ideas and best practice from industry.

In my spare time I enjoy travel, good food and wine, cycling, swimming, running and spending time with family and friends.

I am proud to be part of such an exceptional educational establishment and look forward to seeing the Trust grow and prosper. Â
