Christine Holmes

Hello, my name is Christine Holmes and I am a teacher at Beverley St Nicholas Primary school. I have been a teacher for 12 years and at St Nick’s for 9 of those years. During this time I have taught in key stage one and two but for the last two years have been in Year 6. I also have experience of teaching mixed year group classes.

 

I have always been the subject leader of science here and have really seen the subject develop and thrive over those years. I have taken the subject through two Primary Science Quality Marks (PSQM) receiving the awards in both cases. I am passionate about science and believe that it should be a hands-on, enjoyable experience for all children in our care. I am also an advocate for outdoor learning and have run various gardening and eco initiatives and have a real interest in this.
