Hook C E Primary School
In a supportive, creative and challenging environment we become: Respectful, Independent and Exceptional.
Hook C of E Primary School was opened in 1976 and is a pleasant semi-open plan building surrounded by ample playing fields and school grounds.
The school has close links with the local church of St. Mary’s. Children regularly visit the church to take part in worships on special occasions such as Harvest and Christmas. The Church Wardens always make the children very welcome when they are studying an aspect of the church as part of their curriculum studies. They also visit school on occasions to join children in their school assembly.
As Christians we believe that as well as their physical, intellectual and emotional needs, children should grow up with some insight into the spiritual dimensions of life.
In October 2002 Hook C.E. Primary School was included in Her Majesty’s Inspectors OFSTED publication “The Curriculum in Successful Primary Schools”. This places the school as one of the most successful in the country. In April 2006 and May 2009 we were awarded outstanding gradings by HMI, Ofsted.
In June 2018, the school joined the Multi-Academy Trust, “Swanland Educational Trust (SET)” which subsequently came to be known as “Edukos Trust”.
At Hook C E Primary School we are committed to the continuing professional development of all our staff in order that they can offer our children the highest quality teaching and learning opportunities. We are committed to ensuring that all children are given the opportunity to develop in every area of their lives. By gaining awards in different areas of development, it affords us the opportunity to evaluate and reflect upon practice and provision in our school.
