Natalie Dodds

I am Natalie Dodds, Head of School at Airmyn Park Primary School. I have been the Head of School since April 2022, however, I have been part of Edukos trust since it was founded in 2011. I completed a BA Hons in Primary Teaching with Mathematics at Hull University (Scarborough Campus) and qualified to teach in 2008. Subsequently, I went travelling and worked in other schools before taking up a role at Swanland Primary School. During my time working in the classroom, I taught most year groups, but spent the majority of my time in KS1. I am embracing the challenges that come with a small school and I am endeavouring to keep the school at the heart of the community – with regular events held in conjunction with the church, parish council and village hall. After only a few weeks in post, I successfully led the school through an inspection. This was made much less isolating through the support of colleagues within the trust. Head teachers and senior leaders from other schools came to support the school and this was appreciated by everyone involved. It was a moment of embracing our trust values: trust, friendly, grow. We were exceptional together.
